Wow... It's been how long? I haven't updated since... January 12th? And today is... June 17th? Holy crap. o3o That's five months without an update from me! DB

Wow. o3o I'm in shock. I didn't think I'd let this thing go like I did.

But, it happened. xD;

Okay, so let's see what all has happened...

Prom (which I will put up some pictures in a later journal 'cause I just want update this thing in the first place).
Graduation. (Believe it or not, yes, I graduated. xD; )
And A-Kon. o3o

Those are the biggest events I can currently recall right now off the top of my head. xD; I don't think I should even -try- to go into bunches of smaller events.

Hm... Okay, prom was very fun. xD There. I will be uploading some pictures into my journal later on when I have more time and patience to do so. c: I wore a very lovely dress and saw many more lovely dresses there. xD The music was too loud, though. And my hair didn't loosen up from the curls I had it in like I wanted. :c But, it was still pretty. c: My favorite thing was just my dress. Once I find a picture of me in it that doesn't make me nauseous, I'll show you guys. xD;

YES. I HAVE GRADUATED. Please, take this time to remove your shoes and bow down to me.

Whyyyyyy?

Because I was about as close to not graduating as Froshana is to having a fifth child. :F
...Which... makes more sense the more you know me. :c And, yes, it's a very close call.
I took TWO essays that were supposed to be done in two weeks and did each one in one day. |:C Not happy or cool. I won't get into the gored up details, but essays in EnglishIV-AP are NOT. MY. THING. DB I could have died if I didn't graduate. ...Well... I would have died on the inside. You know what I mean. |:C It wasn't cool.
BUT, the important thing is that I did it, and I was allowed to graduate. xD
Oh yes, and I broke down into tears during my ChemistryII-AP final. THAT is how hard it was. Of course, I was in a class full of geniuses and I just kinda sat there struggling to understand anything. :C And when I DID understand something, by the next morning, I'd have forgotten it. DB So yeah. During the test, seeing as without making it through that test I couldn't graduate, I cried. Luckily, I had a very awesome teacher and he helped me a lot more than the help I probably deserved for not studying. :c But I SUCCEEDED. ...AND GOT AWESOME CHINESE FOOD FOR LUNCH AFTERWARDS. xD; Yeah. Those last few days of school were crazy. Senior year went by faster than... than Shandin chasing an ice cream truck.
...Which, if you know my characters, you would know that that's pretty fast. Geez, Shandin is the exploding cat thing in my icon! DB KNOW THESE THINGS. THEY WILL SERVE YOU WELL.

Anyway, I graduated with honors. c: I got to put a golden rope around my neck. _{(At first I thought I did so horribly they wanted me to hang myself. [shot] Kidding!)} xD I didn't even know I was... Cum Laude or something until I asked. xD; Then I laughed and got mah thing.
There were 512 freakin' seniors who graduated. xD It took FOREVER for all of them to cross the stage. I got bored a quarter of the way through and started to watch this HUGE bat with an underside that was colored lightly enough for me to see it every now and then in the night sky back towards some trees. It would come close every now and then, most likely feasting on the bugs attracted by the stadium lights. xD;
Anyway, I may put up a graduation picture or two. Depends on if I like any. xD;
And, yeah, I know a lot of people go into a dramatic or touching speech about high school and all, but... I'm not good at those and I can't seem to muster one up. xD;
Oh, but if anyone cares to know, I'll be going to the local college here for two years (still with friends, yay!) to get my basic courses done, then I'll transfer off to an art college. And if anyone has recommendations or suggestions for art colleges, don't hesitate to tell me!! I'm still not sure what college I'll go to, but the more suggestions I get from fellow artists, the better! <3 Maybe I'll meet some of you guys there. xD

And then there was A-KON. WOW. xD My first anime convention ever. xD It was absolutely amazing! I did wind up typing a blog about it for myself, but I haven't finished it ('cause I'm lazy) and it's more for me to look back on, I'd say. xD;
Anyway, lucky me, I got a BUNCH of graduation money and graduation was the same Friday as the first day of A-Kon, so I missed that day. But I took a friend of mine with me and we left that night for Dallas. xD We didn't get to the hotel until... around 5:00 in the morning. xD And Toph and I immediately were scared. xD; All the people that were ALREADY outside the building the convention would be in made US feel normal! In a bad way! xD;; But it was fun. We stayed up and took pictures of the sun rising from our hotel room. |D
Um.. Geez, so much happened. xD; Of course, I bought quite a few things. Mostly more badges, buttons, pins, and stuff. xD I did get me a nice little parasol and I got one for Toph as well. c: We don't know when we'll ever use them, but hey! We have them! xD
Had I not been so stressed with graduation and all, I would have come on here to see who all else went to A-Kon. :c Then I would have had a better idea of who to look for.
But I did see *ramy. I shook his hand and told him he's awesome. xD;; And Toph just gave me this weird look like, "Who is this? What's wrong with you? D8" ...She did that a lot while we were there. o3o;
ANYWAY. All in all, A-Kon was very awesome and I have every intention of attending next year. c: If you're going next year, too, tell me! It'd be awesome to meet more artists from here on dA. 8D
I may even cosplay next year. [gasp] I'm not sure as who, though. At first, I thought of Train Heartnet from Black Cat, but I dunno. xD; Still. I'll keep thinking. c: I have a fair amount of time to decide. xD;
And, yes, I'll put up some pictures from A-Kon up in another journal later on.

So, those are the biggest events that I've had in my absence. But there's still more to come! For example...

MY 18TH BIRTHDAY.

8U I am in so much shock that I'm actually almost 18. xD; My birthday is July 3rd. xD It's exciting, yet depressing. xD I don't wanna grow up yet!!
But hey. xD What can I do about it except keep acting like retarded kid, eh?
So yeah. xD Waiting for the birthday. c:

Also, I do believe that I owe a few people some art AND I owe some very nice people their entry prizes for entering my mini contest from 35245243536 years ago. If I owe you an art trade, a sketch request, you name it. If I owe you anything, TELL ME. I most likely remember, but I'd like to know for sure.
...But I'm not stupid. xD So don't think you can be all, "O yah, joo owe me a piccy, you ho! >:C" 'cause if I honestly don't remember it, I won't believe you. xD;; But I remember most of the people I owe art to. I'm.. just not sure what I was supposed to draw.
As for the mini contest entrants, I will announce the winner of the mini contest in my next journal entry. When I do, the winner will tell me what they want drawn as their prize. Also, EVERYONE who entered the contest at all (as in, submitted a design), tell me what you want me to draw for you as your entry prize!!! Either comment in this journal or send me a note. One of those two. Not over MSN, please. xD;; I can't keep track of things there. But even if you already told me, refresh my memory, please, or you won't get your entry prize. D:

And, now for my reason for taking so long in getting ANY art done at all. I may have mentioned this before, but I'll say it now, too. xD;
Since I got my new laptop and put my tablet in and Photoshop, Photoshop refuses to work properly for me. Almost every time I draw a line, I have to either draw a stray line on purpose, then undo, or minimize Photoshop and maximize it again for the line to show up. It's extremely frustrating and I have no idea how to fix it. At all. As a result, I'm working on trying to use OpenCanvas instead to draw on so I can get -something- done. But, hey, any suggestions as to how to fix my Photoshop would be great. Personally, I think Windows Vista is just being a ho. xD; But I dunno for sure. So, while I work much slower and more painfully in OpenCanvas, I don't have anything else I can use. :C

I'm sorry that I just got back and all, but now I'm off again! I'm leaving for two weeks to go to Kentucky for a family reunion, then I'll be going down to Florida, then back to ol' Texas. xD;; I should be leaving either Wednesday night or early Thursday morning and who knows if I'll be able to pick up some Wi-Fi or something somewhere. But yeah. I'll be back in two weeks. c: So yeah.

Until I leave, though, I'm going to try and make a couple of submissions into my poor, hideously outdated gallery. c: And you will all rejoice at my retardation.
